Privacy notice
Who we are
Clivi is a trading name of Lodestone Enterprise Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17265873. Our registered office is 33 Falcon Drive, Didcot, OX11 6HT. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), registration number ZC170884. We decide how your details are used, which makes us the controller under UK data protection law.
What we collect
This website is static. It has no forms, no sign-in, no cookies and no analytics, and we do not use advertising or tracking tools. Fonts and images load from our own site, not from anyone else's.
We hold two kinds of details:
- What you email us. If you email us, we keep your email address and whatever you choose to send.
- Standard hosting logs. When you load a page, our host records technical details such as your IP address, your browser and the page you asked for. This is how every website works.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- Emails you send us. We use them to reply and to arrange a founding tester place if you ask for one. Our legal basis is legitimate interest: we have a real interest in answering people who write to us, and it does little to affect your privacy.
- Hosting logs. Our host uses them to deliver the site and keep it secure. Our legal basis is legitimate interest in running a secure website.
We never sell your details or use them for advertising.
Who else handles it
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts this site and serves its pages. It processes the hosting logs for us as our processor.
- Google Workspace (Google Ireland Limited, with Google LLC in the United States) receives and stores the email sent to hello@clivi.co.uk. It also acts for us as a processor.
Cloudflare and Google may process data in the United States, so some processing can happen outside the UK. Those transfers rely on the UK Extension to the EU-US Data Privacy Framework or on standard contractual clauses. We do not share your details with anyone else unless the law requires it.
How long we keep it
- Emails you send us: as long as we need them to deal with your message, and no longer than two years after our last exchange with you.
- Hosting logs: kept by our host for a short period under its own settings, then deleted.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- give you a copy of what we hold about you
- correct it
- delete it
- limit how we use it, or object to how we use it
- give it to you in a format you can take elsewhere
Email hello@clivi.co.uk to do any of these. We reply within one month. We do not make any decisions about you by automated means.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have used your details, please tell us first at hello@clivi.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
Changes
If we change this notice, we will update the date at the top. If Clivi later collects more than this site does today, we will update this notice before we do.
